My Top Ag Related Podcasts
by. Danny Klittich PhD
There are tons of great podcasts out there that are related to farming. Here are a few that I have found great to listen to over the years and can recommend:
Ag PhD Radio - The Hefty brothers put on a great show with tons of great content. The downside is there are a decent amount of ads. I however enjoy the ads the first few times as I rarely get to hear ag focused marketing. After a few times, however, I hit the skip forward to get back to the content. The programming and discussions are mostly focused on midwestern crops however the basic agronomy is true no matter what you grow.
Yara’s Crop Nutrition podcast - Yara is a global leader in fertility products and this podcast covers a lot of the basics in crop nutrition. They have several mini-series on interesting topics. As this is a corporate produced podcast there are some product specific discussions but not in excess. All and all a good listen
Regenerative Agriculture Podcast - John has great conversations with thought leaders in the world of regenerative ag. Some of the concepts discussed are fringe but very thought provoking. They are not afraid of going deep and exploring new domains.
Sustainable Winegrowing with the Vineyard Team - This podcast focuses on the wine grape industry as a whole and has some great content on agronomy but also on wine marketing and trends.
Redox Grows - I have a soft spot for these guys as I worked with them for 5+ years. The content is a good blend of farming current topics and agronomy.
These are just a few that are lined up in my podcast app. What shows are you listening to?
